We do the work we sell you

We are a small crew that sets tile in Joliet and the towns around it. We do not sell your job to whoever is free that week. The person who measures your shower is on site while it gets built, which is why the plan we hand you and the room you end up with match. That also means we take fewer jobs at once. You may wait a couple of weeks for a start date. What you will not do is come home to a stranger with a wet saw in your driveway and no idea what was agreed to.

Every job starts the same way. We look at the room, we look under it, and we tell you what we find in plain words. Then the scope goes in writing with the materials, the prep, and the days spelled out. We ask you to pick your tile early, because a special order that shows up late holds the whole schedule hostage. During the work you get a short update at the end of each day, and a photo whenever we open a wall. If something behind that wall changes the job, you hear it before we move, not after.

The way we build is not a house style, it is the way the trade says to do it. Waterproofing behind wet walls. A pan that gets flood tested before tile. Floors stiffened until they meet the deflection standard the tile calls for. Movement joints where the field meets a wall or runs long. Mortar chosen for the tile and the setting, then given the cure time it asks for. None of that is flashy and none of it shows in a photo. It is simply the difference between a bathroom you forget about and one that turns into a project again.

Most of the frustration we hear about tile work is not about tile. It is about people who stop answering. A crew shows up for two days, then vanishes for a week, and nobody will say why. We run the other way. You get a start date we believe in, a daily read on where the job stands, and a real answer when you ask how much longer. If we are running behind, we say so early enough for you to plan around it.

We also stay after the job is over. Grout and sealer both have a cure window, and how you clean a floor in the first month matters more than most people realize, especially with water as hard as ours.
