What happens when you reach us

The first conversation is short and it is about your room, not a sales pitch. We ask what you are seeing. Is the grout cracking in a line or all over, is a tile loose near the drain, is there a stain on the ceiling below the bath. We ask when it started and whether the shower is still in use, because a leaking pan is a clock running against your framing. If it is a fresh project instead of a failure, we talk about the look you want, the size of the room, and roughly when you would like it finished. By the end of that call you will know whether this is a small repair, a rebuild of the whole wet area, or a full Bathroom Remodeling job, and what each of those means for your week.

A few things on your end make the visit much faster. Photos help most. One wide shot of the room and two close ones of the trouble spot tell us more than a long description ever will. Know roughly how old the house is, since a 1920s home on the bluff and a 2004 build out toward Shorewood fail in completely different ways. Have any tile you have already picked, or a picture of a look you like, so we can check whether it suits the spot. Tell us about access as well. A narrow street, a walkup unit, a shared drive, or subdivision rules about work hours all change how we stage the job. If you know where the water shutoff is, mention it. That one detail matters on the day a pan gets opened.

After the walk through you get a written scope, usually within a day or two. It lists the prep, the waterproofing, the materials, the days, and anything we recommend but you can skip. If plumbing has to move, that step normally needs a permit and we handle the paperwork rather than leaving it on your plate. Special order tile drives the start date more than our calendar does, so we order early and tell you the real lead time. On day one we protect the floors and seal the room off before a tool comes out. When the work is done we walk it with you, point out where the caulk lines are, and tell you the honest part. Grout needs time to cure, sealer goes on after that, and the shower waits a few days before you use it.
